How to configure the Microsoft Authenticator Mobile App for MFA authentication with TOTP codes – Iphone

First installation of the app

1. Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app from the Apple Store (in order to use Microsoft Authenticator on iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, you must have iOS 13.0 or later).
2. Open the app and click "Add company or educational institution account".
3. Click "Scan a data matrix" and use your device's camera to scan the QR code
   
4. Click on 'Scan QR code' and use your device's camera to scan the code generated at https://aap.univr.it/UNIVRMfaQr/qr
   
5. Click 'enter code manually'.
6. Enter "Account name" and "Key value" of the generated QR code in the respective fields and click "Done".

If the app has already been installed

1. Open the Microsoft Authentication app and select [three dots] then + Add Account.
2. Click 'Other account (Google, Facebook, etc.)'.
3. Press "enter code manually".
4. Enter "Account name" and "Key value" of the generated QR code in the respective fields and click "Done".

How to generate TOTP codes for authentication

1. Open the App
2. Select the Univr MFA account: this will display the TOTP code to be used (the icon on the right indicates the time remaining until the TOTP code expires).
