Call for applications for admission to PhD programmes, XLII cycle, Academic year 2026/2027
NoticesThe University of Verona hereby announces a public selection for admission to PhD courses XLII cycle, academic year 2026-2027 and for the awarding of no. 104 PhD scholarships.
Applicants can submit their application from 11 May 2026 to 9 June 2026 at 12.00 noon (Italian time, GMT+1).
The applicants have to:
- go to www.univr.it/applicationphd webpage
- if you are a new user, register to the online system by entering the information required
- if you are a student or a former student of this University or a user already registered, log in using your personal credentials
- select the chosen PhD programme in the menu option "Registrar's Office - Admission test - Admission test"
- proceed with the compilation by entering all the required data including the qualifications being evaluated which must be uploaded in PDF format specifying for each a nomenclature which clarifies its content
- once you have completed the form, pay the competition participation fee using the automatically generated Pago PA payment slip
To be admitted to the selection process, a mandatory, non-refundable fee of €10.00 (ten/00) is required, under penalty of exclusion. This fee must be paid by the application deadline. The application fee is due for each application submitted (up to a maximum of three).
Starting with the 42nd cycle, the University of Verona is strengthening its commitment to supporting doctoral students, introducing new financial measures aimed at making the doctoral program more sustainable and attractive.
The annual doctoral scholarship amount is €17,602.57, gross of INPS social security contributions required by law, an increase of €100 net per month compared to previous cycles. The scholarship is awarded for the entire duration of the doctoral program and is paid in monthly installments.
As part of these same support measures, the University also provides for an exemption from the annual flat-rate registration fee of €250, thus helping to reduce the costs of accessing and attending the doctoral program.
At the time of pre-registration, only the payment of the sum of €208.00 is required, in a single installment, composed as follows: €192.00 as a regional tax for the right to study and €16.00 as a stamp duty paid virtually.
