Purpose This Agreement aims to regulate the creation of a new PhD programme jointly run with a foreign Institution which, to be set up, shall fulfil both the constraints imposed by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and the local and national rules in force at the partner Institution. Pursuant the Italian law and particularly Ministry of Education, University and Research Decree no. 45 of 8th February 2013, the duration of the Agreement must correspond to three consecutive doctoral cycles covering a period of 5 years. Main features After being negotiated with the Partner Institution, the following aspects shall be described in the Agreement: - Criteria and requirements for selecting candidates; - Enrolment of JDP students and payment of registration/tuition fees (as a general rule successful candidates admitted to the JDP will be enrolled at both the Institutions in Partnership following their respective administrative procedures but they are supposed to pay enrolment /tuition fees only at their Home Institution); - JDP students mobility; - Definition of the JDP budget in terms of scholarships and provision of adequate and stable funding to guarantee the programme sustainability; - Appropriate availability of facilities and equipment (laboratories, libraries, IT facilities, database); - Institutional bodies and management structure (i.e. presence of a programme Coordinator belonging to Verona University, a Co-coordinator belonging to the Partner University and a Joint Teaching Committee comprising professors of both Institutions); - Organization of the PhD students final examination and granting of a joint/double PhD degree recognized by both Institutions.
