WHAT ARE LIMITED-ENTRY DEGREE PROGRAMMES?

Limited-entry degree programmes are those programmes that have a limited number of places available and require passing an admission test before you can enrol. Enrolment procedures are set out in the Call for applications for each degree programme: these are made available in the web page “How to enrol” of the degree programme, and at: www.univr.it/iscrizioni

Selection procedures are normally established as follows:
  • at national level through a specific decree issued by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, in which the dates and procedures of admission tests, as well as the number of available places for each University, are set out;
  • at local level by the University of Verona, which sets out the dates and procedures of admission tests for each limited-entry degree programme.

LIMITED-ENTRY DEGREE PROGRAMMES WITH SINGLE ADMISSION TEST
For each limited-entry degree programme the University sets out in a specific Call for applications the entry requirements, deadlines and procedures for the implementation of the admission test, as well as the number of available places.

The Call is published online in the Official Registry of the University, and in the section “How to enrol” on each degree programme web page, at least 60 days before the date of the test.

To sit the admission test, applicants must:
  • carefully read the Call for applications;
  • register for the test on ESSE3 in the ways and by the deadlines set out in the Call, and pay the relevant registration fee;
  • regularly check the web page where the list of candidates admitted to take the admission test will be published;
  • sit the test;
  • check the ‘graduatoria’, or list of students eligible for admission (this will be published by the deadlines set out in the Call), to be found in the “How to enrol” section on the webpage of the chosen degree programme;
  • follow the instructions attached to the list of students eligible for admission.

If there are still places available, these may be assigned to candidates on the list who have not been selected in the first round, in accordance with the procedures set out in the Call for applications.

LIMITED-ENTRY DEGREE PROGRAMMES WITH TOLC TEST
For some limited-entry degree programmes, candidates are required to pass a specific admission test online, the “Test Online CISIA (TOLC)”, or TOLC test. Depending on the score achieved in the TOLC test, you will be included in a list of candidates. If you are among the admitted ones, please submit your application for enrolment on ESSE3.

If you intend to apply for a limited degree programme with TOLC test in presence, please follow these steps:
1) Register for the TOLC test
Go to www.cisiaonline.it and register for your chosen TOLC test (see the relevant calendar on: https://tolc.cisiaonline.it/calendario.php) according to the type of test and date set out in the Call for applications. Please pay the relevant registration fee (€30).

2) Sit the TOLC test
On the day of the test go to the relevant examination centre and take with you a valid ID document and the receipt of the payment of your registration fee. Once you have taken the test, your score will be displayed in your personal area of the CISIA website. The CISIA will then communicate this information to the University of Verona. You can repeat the test once a month starting from the month following the day of your TOLC test. Please note that only the score of your latest TOLC test will be taken into account for the purpose of the admission to your chosen degree programme. You can also test your knowledge and prepare for your TOLC test by downloading the relevant documents you’ll find on the CISIA website. For further information go to: www.univr.it/corsipreparazione and www.univr.it/corsizero

3) Register for selections by the University of Verona
Register for the selection on ESSE3 (see procedures). The final list of students eligible for admission will be drawn up on the basis of the score of the TOLC test and according to the entry requirements set out in the Call. Please note that multiple selections may be established for each degree programme.

4) Check the list of students eligible for admission
The ‘graduatoria’ (or list of students eligible for admission) will be published in the “How to enrol” section on the webpage of your chosen degree programme.

If you have been admitted, you must:
  • enrol in the degree programme by the deadline set out in the Call for application. Log into ESSE3, submit your application for enrolment/transfer from another University (see procedure) and pay the first instalment of your tuition fees. Wait for confirmation.

If you have not been admitted, you can:
  • register for another selection for the same degree programme (if applicable) without having to sit the TOLC test again;
  • retake the TOLC test to improve your score, and register for another selection for the same degree programme (if applicable).

Candidates on the list who have not been admitted shall not enrol in the degree programme, but they will have the opportunity to take part in other selections for the same programme, if any.
Selected candidates who obtain a score that is below the required threshold for the evaluation of entry requirements, will need to gain the relevant credits (Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi – OFA) by the end of the first year of the degree programme.
