Gabriella Pelloni

I work on German-language culture and literature from the 19th century to the present. My research focuses specifically on the following areas:

• Intersections between literature and philosophy, particularly with regard to Nietzsche’s work, his sources, and his reception in 20th century European culture

• Klassische Moderne

• German-Jewish literature and culture

• The work of Ingeborg Bachmann

• The interrelation between literature and social issues (identity, exile, migration, marginality)

• Transculturality and translingualism

Since 2019, I have been a member of the Doctoral Programme in Foreign Languages and Literatures at DLLS (University of Verona). Within the Departmental Excellence Project Inclusive Humanities (2023–2027), I coordinate the research project Representations of Otherness, Diversity and Marginality in Contemporary European and Extra-European Literatures.
