Advanced/Professional development course in Transnational and comparative agri-food law

Programme location: VERONA

The course offers a deeper knowledge of the most significant legal aspects of cross-border trade in the agri-food sector, with the aim of providing particpants with the necessary conceptual, regulatory and practical tools to tackle the most common legal issues in this field. After the introductory section devoted to the political and legal framework of international and European agri-food markets, the course will address the main legal issues related to the various stages of transnational agri-food production, business and sales - from production regulations to labelling rules; from health and environmental regulations to those for customs; from producer and vendor civil liability to insurance liability. For this purpose, we will analyse the most important legal systems - as well as the European and international systems, we will also look at the legal systems of stategically important countries for Italian exports, in particular countries in North and South America (USA, Canada and Brazil above all), the Far East (especially China and Japan), Russia and the Middle East.
